Yaser Al Mosabi born in Abu Dhabi city on September 17th 1987 and is Living in Almoroor area two roads away from the HCT.I study at the ADMC, Level 2 and I chose Electronics Engineer major. My friends influenced me to choose this major, because it has a better future. I have a lot of friends and I always hang out with them. Besides, I enjoy spending time with my family and relatives. I like watching movies and listening to music. I have a lot of favorite movies and listen to a range of classic and R&B music. In my free times, I usually walk around the house and sometimes I go to the officers club and play football and swim. It’s not far from the house. It only takes 10 minutes to reach it. In the weekends, I go to the beach with my friends. We like to barbecue and playing volleyball.In the future I hope that I will reach a good position in a petroleum company.

Global Warming

Global warming is defined as an increase in the earth’s temperature, maybe caused by additional heat produced by greenhouse gases. This increase has many effects on the world’s climate and the creatures on it.These effects on the world’s climate or what they call the early warning signs include periods of unusually warm weather, ocean warming, glaciers melting, Arctic and Antarctic warming.Global Warming has been discussed many times in the last century in order to know everything about it.However, many scientists believe that Global Warming is a natural alarm that warns us of a coming disaster. As a result, scientists’ voices have been asking the world’s governments to take a major step in order to limit human activities for the sake of the life on our planet. Their request states that the use of the automobiles and the increase in the world’s population may be responsible for this issue.

Causes of the Global Warming

Now I will talk about the causes of the global warming. There are two main reasons for global warming the first one is the "greenhouse effect". A greenhouse gasses (carbon dioxide and methane) effect on the earth with huge amount and the reason for that is the higher concentration of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the more heat energy will be reflect back to the earth.. The second cause is human activities. Most scientists think that human activities are leading to global warming by using the CO2 which add greenhouse emissions to the atmosphere. Also using the fossil fuels, electricity from coal and driving cars are take part to the rise of the greenhouse. The carbon dioxide and other gasses that are in the atmosphere trapping the sun's heat and causes increasing in earth's warm.

Main Cause of the Global Warming

Now I will choose human activities as a main cause for global warming. The emission of carbon dioxide to the environment mainly increased by burning fossil fuel (petrol, gas and the other derivatives of the oil), all of that caused by humans. Air conditioning also and cutting trees are another reasons for the increase of greenhouse gasses. Some of people wondered how the scientists consider cutting trees as a cause for the greenhouse emission, the answer to them is that when we cut the trees we helped the percentage of the carbon dioxide to increase. This is the main reason from my viewpoint.

Effects of the Global Warming

There are many effects shows after the global warming and it's affect our environment killing all kind of creatures, however most of people and governments stand silently without taking any step to avoid this crises. Now one effect shows increasing on world temperature in all beaches and seas around the world. Also there is decreasing of ice berg in both poles by 14% within 11 years which caused decrease of the number of fishes live in the ice by 2 percent in the last 4 decades. Next there is a notice of decreasing the houses prizes which placed near the beach. Another dangerous effect that some countries such as Maldives may sink in the future because of the global warming. Also it's affect on animals either. Birds are laying eggs earlier than usual and if we talk about plants, some plants start to flower earlier too.

Main Effect

Now I will talk about the main effect in global warming in my viewpoint which is ice melting. Many scientists agreed that the greenhouse gasses are the main effect but I think that ice melting is the most important. Many countries are surrounded by snow so it can cause sinking for that countries and there is already some parts are already sank because of the global warming and some countries are in danger of ice melting, all that is shown in the famous documentary "An Convenient Truth" for Sin. Algor. So if we didn't work together the life will be tragedy by the time.

Global Warming in UAE

In UAE there are many plans going on including diverting taxi cars to hybrid cars (cars are mixed of electricity and oil), this will reduce the carbon dioxide and it would save the earth from the global warming. The United Arab Emirates has also other plans to save the environment and increase the oxygen on earth by planting trees. People could also do certain things to help reducing gas emissions by decreasing the use of electricity for example switching off the TV from the main circuit and also reducing the use of cars public transportation. And hopefully my country will solve this problem or at least try to solve it or reduce it.

Individual action

If we wait for the governments to take action for global warming we will not get a solution, so everybody must try to do something to avoid this problem. I think that there is a lot of easy thing to do. First I think that quit smoking is the most important thing because if we calculate the number of smokers we will not end. Another step is to reduce using cars and to try to use the public transportations instead of own cars. So we can reduce the amount of gasses. We also can reduce the over consumption of using electricity and water, Also we can at least advice people and explain to them what dangerous could this phenomenon do to earth, and guide them to the right way for avoiding this kind of problems.

Summary

In summary, many studies show that human being may be one of the central causes of the Global Warming; while little figures pointed out that this phenomenon is purely caused by natural reasons and the human being is just affected by it.
However, I think that what ever the cause was, people have a great ability to reduce the risks, and if everybody starts to think wisely; the world will be fine and the coming generations will not suffer from the consequences that can be resulted by the global warming. So we must work hard to save our lands and families.
